OFFICIAL CLUB SHIRT:
Not long after our club was formed, it was collectively agreed that we needed a standard club shirt and logo. Over time our original vendor went out of business and our club logo changed from the club’s name inside a circle to our name inside an outline of Ohio. With the selection of our new vendor, Twin Design in Kettering, Ohio, it was necessary to find a club shirt style and color that was available through our new vendor that was similar to our original vendor’s style and color. Our current shirt style (men and women) and color (ultramarine blue) is shown in the slideshow pictures below. In addition to the standardization of the shirt style and color, the thread colors used in embroidering the Ohio club logo on our club shirt were standardized as well. This shirt serves as our official club shirt and is intended to be worn when we are participating in a club group activity such as meetings, car shows/cruise-ins, site/museum tours, informal lunch/dinner gatherings, etc. during the car show/cruise-in season - - anywhere the public will see us.
There are no criteria as to which side of the shirt the club logo should be placed, but generally if a pocketed shirt is purchased, the logo is better on the right side and an embroidered name is placed above the pocket (optional). It is your preference as to which side the club logo is placed on a “no pocket” shirt. As for the basic club name logo, members typically put it on hats, sweatshirts, jackets, and even on different color summer clothing items when they are out with their T-birds but not involved in a club group activity.
The membership also agreed that for club meetings and activities held during the off season for car shows and cruise-ins, when warmer clothing would be more appropriate, members are encouraged to show club unity by wearing clothing articles emblazoned with either of the club logos. No specific clothing article types or colors are suggested. Have fun, go wild.

Based on a meeting with our vendor on 17 April 2024, the following was provided as pricing for our official club shirt. See pictures of our club shirt options and club logos in the slideshow below. Prices are subject to change based on source or vendors costs.

OUR VENDOR:
Our current supplier is Twin Design, owned and operated by twin sisters, Nancy Honshell and Dixie Scott. They are located about a mile or so south of our club monthly meeting venue, the MCL Cafeteria, on Far Hills Avenue. They are situated in the back right corner of the Woodbourne-Hyde Park Shopping Center at 5769 Far Hills Avenue. To learn more about the products and services they can provide, go to their website at twindesignembroidery.com. The hours of operation for Twin Design are Tuesday thru Friday 9:30 am to 5:00 pm, closed Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.
In my discussions with Nancy, she mentioned their supplier no longer publishes a printed catalog, but instead has an online version. If you would like to browse the catalog of items available through Twin Design, go to the SanMar website. Nancy also emphasized that Twin Design typically gives a discount on the prices identified in the SanMar online catalog. If you are interested in exact pricing of a specific item or items, you can call Twin Design at 937.732.6798 or e-mail them at [email protected]. They will also embroider either of our club logos on any clothing article or other items such as canvas bags, blankets, pillow cover, etc. If the material can be embroidered, they can do it. They have in their computer files our two club logo patterns and the standard thread colors for our official summer club shirt.

HOW TO ORDER:
Initially, I would take apparel orders and deliver them to Twin Design. When ready, I would pick them up and pass them on to the members. However, over the last few years, with members purchasing additional items they have found it beneficial to make a personal visit to the store to place their order. I highly encourage members to do so. This wil give you the opportunity to look through the displays of other clothing articles available and to talk directly with our vendor about clothing choices, colors, logo placement, etc. However, if for whatever reason you would be unable to personally visit the store to place an order, I would be happy to handle the purchase for you, just provide me the item number, size, color, quantity, embroidery placement locations, and other pertinent information about your order.
